In a few days we will open the suitcases and chase out any varmints that might have moved in. Packing should be a challenge since we will be gone for about 40 days! The Commodore is already stressing about his underwear! I suggested he should just bring old ones and lose them along the way but I'm not sure he is down with that!
The first part of our trip will be a cruise on the brand spanking new Regal Princess from Barcelona to Venice for 12 days. We are so lucky to be traveling with our favorite traveling companions, Betty and Don, and Michele and Tom. We always have so many laughs and never any drama! Perfect!
Michele and Tom will leave us in Venice and fly home but the rest of us will then fly to Paris for four days. We have a day in Normandy planned to see the WWII memorials and beaches. Then we will take the Eurostar (chunnel) train to London for another four days. Our hotel is right in Leicester Square and close to "everything"! Then we will transfer to Southampton and board the Emerald Princess for a transatlantic crossing to Ft. Lauderdale and our short flight home.
This is our longest trip to date and there's so much to "tend" to before we go so I thought I'd get a start on the "blog".
I hope you'll enjoy traveling along and get a giggle or two out of our inevitable mishaps!
XOXO

Soooo envious!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are bringing us along-this way we miss nothing, except the norovirus, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you will get lucky and get "Scooter Sue" for at least one of the voyages!
OMG! What a horror! We do have another "horror" on the second cruise. She's a relocated NY'er who lives in Boca Raton and we sailed with her on the 30-day SF to Sydney cruise a few years ago. Blatant trivia cheater who was mightily miffed when I beat her in the cruise-long individual trivia!!
DeleteNo, no noro!!!
Look forward to "tagging" along. Wishing you, Ed, Betty, Don, Michelle & Tom a fun and safe journey. But we will definately miss you ... 40 days is way too long to be away from all your friends here :-(
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lee Ann! Hope you enjoy the play by play!
DeleteLinked and ready to read your adventures!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're along!!
