Cruises X2 and Paris and London

We'll be cruising from Barcelona to Venice then flying to Paris for four days. Next we "chunnel" to London and after four days there board another ship in Southampton and travel to Ft Lauderdale. I will report on the "antics and adventures"!

At Sea – November 1, 2014

STOP the presses!!  BIG news!!  We won a trivia!!!  Yes, you unbelievers, we prevailed!  In a room packed with nearly 40 teams our team, the Shipkickers, won first place even though we had a sudden death tie-breaker questions with one other team.  Yours truly, moi, aced the tiebreaker with the correct answer to the question “What year was Marilyn Monroe born?”  The answer is 1926.  Woohoo!  We are now the proud owners of official Princess Cruises mini flashlights that will work about an hour.  Nevermind….it’s not the prizes anyway!

We also competed, again, this afternoon in the cruise-long trivia where we squeaked out a 8/10 score that will, hopefully, keep us in first place.  The standings are posted in the library and we are tied with one other team for first place.  OMG! The pressure!! LOL!

We’ve had nice seas today and sun in the sky.  It’s the first of four sea days which are my favorite days on a ship.  I feel now, for the first time, like I’m on vacation instead of a “trip”.  No need to be anywhere or do anything besides amuse myself….now that’s a vacation!

You’ll be thrilled to find out that I was able to take a photo of the table in the dining room reserved each night for “The Troll and Morticia” .  I will try to get it attached to the blog but the bandwidth here on the ship is not my friend when it comes to uploading.  I’ll do my best.

I’m writing again early in the day when there are fewer people on the internet to improve my chances.

Have fun with your time change and enjoy your extra hour!  We are getting extra hours every other day now!

Had a fun iPad class this morning and found out a few cool tricks!  Trivia at 4:15 and then dinner.  No big shows this evening so the casino will be getting a visit!

XOXOXOXO

You can see the burlap bag that held the Crown Royal, the red topped jar of "Mrs Dash", the bowl of ice cubes behind the bag and the special bowl of lemons and limes PLUS the large pitcher of "water with gas"!!  Stay tuned for more updates!!! XOXOXO

  1. Congratulations on trivia! I never, never would have guessed 1926 for Marilyn. Uh, that's a LOT of lemon.....
