We'll be cruising from Barcelona to Venice then flying to Paris for four days. Next we "chunnel" to London and after four days there board another ship in Southampton and travel to Ft Lauderdale. I will report on the "antics and adventures"!

At sea towards Venice – Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Lazy day at sea with cloudy/partly cloudy skies…no wind and temperatures in the mid to high 70’s.  Later in the day a few whitecaps showed up on the sea.

We did pretty much absolutely nothing!  We didn’t miss any meals, however!!  I did manage to cut my casino losses by hitting a few small jackpots, which made me feel SO much better!  Turned those $$’s into Euro’s since we will be in Venice tomorrow and then fly to Paris on Friday.

Even with so many people on this ship I have to say, again, how uncrowded the public spaces seem.  I don’t know if they’ve locked 2000 folks in their rooms or given many of them sleeping pills!!!   It just doesn’t ever feel like it’s packed with people!

Tomorrow we get to Venice about 1:30 and Betty and Don have a tour to Murano and Michele and Tom have a tour of Venice.  The  Commodore and I bought tickets on the “shuttle” to St Mark’s Square and we’ll wander the city for a few hours.  We’ll head off to the Rialto Bridge which is one of our favorite places.  Before we dock we’ll take some time to get our suitcases packed for the next part of the adventure.

We’ll all meet back on the ship tomorrow evening for our “farewell” dinner with Luis and Robert (our waiters).

Tomorrow, October 16th, is Sydney Claire Christiansen’s 12th birthday!!  Happy Birthday, darling girl!!  I can’t talk to you but I’ll be thinking of you all day and sending you love and wishes for a very special birthday!! XOXOXOXO

We get an hour back tonight that we gave up a week ago!  Now we’re just 9 hours ahead of  CA.

I’ll check in tomorrow night….if I have any minutes left on my internet plan!!
P.S. Tonight we went up on deck to see a water show they have on many nights at 9:30.  It’s in the main pool area and they have water spouts and music and colors and it’s gorgeous…..mini-Bellagio!  I’d post a video here but there’s no bandwidth to upload it.  Maybe I can find some fast internet in Paris and show you.  Guess I’ll find a Starbucks and hang around for an hour or two!

Out here……
XOXOXO

M
